Biological and Microbiological testing services include

- Bacterial toxin testing (e.g., Staphylococcus enterotoxin, Botulinal
toxin)
- Taxonomic identification of food related microorganisms
- Commercial Sterility and Canned Food Spoilage Analyses
- Heat resistant mold testing
- Unique pathogen testing (e.g., Campylobacter, Vibrio, Clostridium botulinum,
Legionella)
- Sporeforming food spoilage bacteria (e.g., Acidophilic-thermophilic;
Mesophilic aerobic; Mesophilic anaerobic; Total and Flat Sour thermophilic
(aerobic); Thermophilic anaerobic; Sulfide spoilage)
- Unique bacterial tests (e.g., Proteolytic bacteria count, Gram-negative
bacteria count, Histamine forming bacteria count, Yogurt differential
bacteria count)
- Specific risk material (Central Nervous System Tissue) testing of meats
(ELISA method for detection of glial fibrillary acidic protein or GFAP)
- Meat Species (e.g., beef, pork, poultry) testing (ELISA method)
- Organ and gland residue testing of meats (histological examination)
- Seafood toxin testing (e.g., Cigua toxin)
