ANALYTICAL MICROBIOLOGY

ABC Research, an ISO 17025 accredited, full service analytical laboratory, specializes in microbiological analysis for the food, beverage and environmental industries. We have extensive experience and the analytical capability in:

  • Routine microbiological testing;
  • Resolving processing problems involving spoilage or pathogen contamination;
  • Assisting with regulatory matters such as USDA or FDA detained product;
  • Providing accurate results for HACCP or customer requirement;

Pathogen Analysis

The Analytical Microbiology Laboratory has the capability to analyze for all the major food-related pathogenic microorganisms including, but not limited to:

Spoilage Analysis

ABC Research has extensive experience in solving food spoilage problems. Using standardized and non standardized procedures, we are able to identify the causative agents and assist in pinpointing the problematic areas within the process.

Water Microbiological Testing

ABC Research is certified by the State of Florida DOH according to NELAC standards for testing both under the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act regulations. We can provide standard microbiological testing for Realtors, businesses, and individuals for potability of well water, processing water, and ice. We also test ambient surface waters (beaches, lakes, and rivers) for both individuals and businesses for regulatory compliance. We can test various matrices such as wells, effluents, sludges, for Total coliform and Fecal coliform bacteria.
